Who you are

We are looking for an Azure Infrastructure Engineer to help us evolve and expand our use of Azure services to ensure secure, high-performance, scalable and reliable delivery of Cognito Forms to our customers.

Cognito Forms leverages Microsoft Azure for both production and dev/test infrastructure.

What you’d be doing

  • Work within Microsoft Azure and its offerings (PaaS, SaaS or IaaS), PowerShell, Azure Resource Manager Templates (ARM Templates), Load Balancing, Firewall, and DNS.

  • Monitor Azure resource utilization and actively plan and implement performance optimization and cost efficiencies.

  • Monitor Azure resource security and vulnerabilities to plan and implement remediation and security best practices.

  • Collaborate with team on implementing Microsoft 365 best practices to align with our Azure environment.

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to support DevOps needs.

What you should bring to the table

  • A passion to learn and keep up with the latest technologies.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to perform in a fast-paced, diverse environment with demanding market needs.

  • Must be motivated, detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to handle a variety of tasks and responsibilities in an effective manner with a high level of quality.

  • Experience with SaaS and high traffic applications is highly preferred.

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure:

    • PaaS – Azure Cloud Services, Azure App Services.

    • Experience with Microsoft Azure and application infrastructure related activities: IaaS – Compute, Storage, Networking, High Availability, Firewall.

    • Data – SQL Server, Azure SQL DB, Azure Table Storage (NoSQL), Azure Blob Storage, Azure Queue Storage, App Insights.

    • Identity – SSO/Federation, AD/Azure AD, ADFS, etc.

  • Experience with Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.

  • Experience supporting deployments and assisting in environment debugging.

  • Strong understanding of Azure security tools and best practices.

  • A deep understanding of common web application security vulnerabilities.

  • An understanding of data encryption methods and Azure mechanisms to implement these controls.

  • Knowledge of JavaScript, C#, and .NET platform.

  • BS or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related Engineering field preferred.

  • 2+ years of experience with Azure.
