The Student Emergency Fund is a 0% interest loan from the UCC Students’ Union repayable within 3 years from date of receipt. In extremely exceptional circumstances it can be given as a non-repayable once-off payment.
Financial Support via the Student Emergency Fund is confined to full-time registered UCC students in the term of application. Out of term time applications will be dealt with on an ad hoc basis.
Applications will be dealt with the on a case by case basis. Please note: Successful applications from previous years does not automatically entitle the applicant to receive Emergency Funding.
In cases where there is a conflict of interest e.g. personal relationship with the Vice President for Welfare or related to the Vice President for Welfare, the applicant’s case will be dealt with by the UCC Student Budgetary Advisor
The general scheme for the provision of financial support to full-time undergraduates and postgraduates is as follows:

Please provide a complete personal statement detailing need for financial supports
Please provide 3 months of bank statements
