AIA Florida is actively seeking to identify and recognize those members who, in their daily lives, are playing an important part in shaping the world through leadership in their communities. The Citizen Architect program recognizes those who have contributed to their communities through service on not-for-profit boards, governmental office or boards, design charrettes or any other effort that demonstrates the leadership of the architect as a citizen in the community.
While service to the AIA is greatly appreciated, this recognition acknowledges a body of work in the community and civic involvement. If not including service as an elected official, please cite multi-faceted civic service. Service to AIA should only be included in terms of how it has contributed to the community.
The 2020 class of Citizen Architects will be recognized in early 2021. Members may apply themselves. Components are encouraged to identify members to apply. It is not necessary to be nominated by your component.
Applications are due Friday, November 13. Please fill in the required information and submit to AIA Florida
This is a one-time recognition. If you have already been conferred this recognition, please do not reapply.
