The time has come to start dancing again. We'll be creative and flexible to adapt to what's new. What is sure is that we will learn and dance. Connection and close-embrace won't be the main topic of these workshops - but we find here an oportunity and not a problem. Let's explore all the possibilities of basic patterns and musicality.
Basics to get back into the groove! We know you miss basic drills and we will therefore dive into the depths of 6 and 8 counts.
WS 1 | KOALA
18. June, 19:30 - 20:30
Level Koalas will incorporate the basics and learn how to transcend from one count to the other basic (6-, 8-count & Lindy Charleston). But not only that. You will find out how those changes can be reflected in the music with our dance - structures, accents, breaks.
You attended already one of our Level 1 (A or B) at USI or you are quick in learning steps and have a feeling for music and rhythm.
WS 2 | CATERPILLAR
18. June, 20:45 - 21:45
Level Caterpillars will explore opportunities that 6- 8 count and Lindy Charleston provide. Small variations can make a big difference in your dance and can transform a basic pattern into a sophisticated move.
You attended both Level 1 (A & B) and even maybe one of the Level 2 courses (USI).
You are steady in dancing 6 and 8 counts as well as Lindy Charleston. Aaaand you already have a high fever because of the lack in dancing possibilities.
WS 3 | COLIBRI
21. June, 20:15 - 21:15
Level Colibris will first get back into the basic drills and than be challenged by the music. Every song is made of a combination of different bricks and these differences are what we want to appreciate and communicate with our dance. But be careful you also have to listen to your partner.
You have been dancing for at least 2 years and you are a regular social dancer. This will be the higher level workshop - you know what that means.
NOTE: Each workshop is planned for a particular level. However, you may be a "Caterpillar" that also wants to work on your fundamentals... you can also register for "Koala". Or maybe you, as an experienced "Colibri", want to recap the content that we will cover with the "Caterpillars"... go for it!
What to bring:
Liability and costs!
Registration is binding. i.e. the amount is due in any case (exception: accident or illness with valid medical certificate). Payment will be in in advance by electronic transfer. Only then your spot is secured.
Looking forward to seeing you in the workshops,
Nico & Marcos (Tanzkommune)
