Who you are
We are looking for a senior-level agile coach to lead and support product development at Cognito Forms using the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). As the Release Train Engineer (RTE), you will be responsible for communicating with stakeholders, escalating impediments, managing risks, and driving continuous improvement.
What you’ll be doing
Continuously improving the use of SAFe to meet the organization’s needs, standardizing and documenting practices.
Coaching and mentoring Agile Coaches, Product Owners, and other team members.
Facilitate PI Planning readiness by promoting the continuous refinement of the Program Backlog by ensuring new ideas are raised, refined, and prioritized as a list of Features that can be scheduled during PI Planning.
Owns, coordinates, and executes PI Planning events (Inspect & Adapt, PI Planning, Innovation Demos) working with Stakeholders, Product Owners, and Engineering teams.
Facilitate periodic synchronization events (SoS, PO Sync) across teams and track execution of program objectives.
Drive relentless improvement via Inspect and Adapt by assessing the agility level of the ART and helping them improve by tracking and analyzing key program metrics (e.g., burndown, WIP).
Coordinate cross-functional dependencies, manage risks, escalate, and track impediments.
Work closely with multiple agile teams to ensure solutions are delivered in a timely manner.
Guide and coach teams on how to use Agile practices and principles to deliver high-quality products and services to our customers.
What you should bring to the table
Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills as well as being able to perform in a fast-paced, diverse environment with demanding market needs.
Motivated, detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to handle a variety of tasks and responsibilities in an effective manner with a high level of quality.
Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, and thorough attention to detail.
4+ years of experience leading teams as a Release Train Engineer or a Scrum Master.
Knowledge of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
Knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC).
Experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, or other Agile development tools to plan, track, and report progress.
Ability to successfully work across all levels of the organization, including interacting with senior management.
BS or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related Engineering field preferred.
