Google provides a secure single sign-on service that lets users authenticate using their Google account credentials. Cognito Forms integrates directly with Google’s SSO, allowing users to sign up or log in to Cognito Forms with their existing Google accounts.

How It Works

  1. Log in to Cognito Forms
    1. Navigate to your Organization Settings by clicking your organization’s name
    2. Select Settings > Users & Authentication
  2. Enable single sign-on
    1. Toggle on Require single sign-on for all users
    2. Choose Google as your authentication provider
  3. Configure Google Workspace Domain (optional)
    1. Check the option Restrict users to my Google Workspace domain to limit access
    2. Enter your Google Workspace domain name (e.g., yourcompany.com)
  4. Save Your Settings
    1. Click Enable to activate Google SSO integration
    2. Authenticate with your Google account to finalize the connection
  5. Test Google SSO Login
    1. Log out of your Cognito Forms account
    2. Return to the login page and select “Sign in with Google” to verify the integration
  6. Notify Users
    1. Inform your team about the new login procedure using their Google accounts
    2. Provide guidance on the sign-in process to ensure smooth adoption
