How It Works

  1. Log in to Zapier
    1. Access your Zapier dashboard
  2. Create a new Zap
    1. Click “Make a Zap”
  3. Set Cognito Forms as the trigger
    1. Choose “Cognito Forms” → “New Entry” as the trigger event
  4. Add Google Chat as the action
    1. Select “Send Message” in the Google Chat app
    2. Connect your Google Workspace account and pick the chat space or user
  5. Map entry fields to message content
    1. Link Cognito Forms fields to the message text, cards, or attachments
  6. Test the Zap
    1. Submit a sample entry and confirm the message appears in Google Chat
  7. Activate the Zap
    1. Turn on the Zap to enable ongoing message automation
