As we teased in last month’s series on localization, Cognito Forms is getting international! As of today, you can now set the country, language and currency for each of your forms. We’ve added support for 14 different languages, as well as 137 currencies and 121 countries.

What’s Different

Now when you create a new account or organization, you’ll be prompted to select the default location settings for that organization. These settings will be the default for each new form you create, but you can change these settings on any form until it has received entries.

What It Affects

In addition to language and currency, we’re also making things a little more familiar for our international customers with formatting. Numbers and dates will be formatted in your default country’s standard, and will validate properly. For example, our UK users won’t be forced to accept 1/31/2015 as a valid date anymore – they’ll be able to see it in their standard format of 31/1/2015.

We’re also adding support for time zones – meaning your email notifications and exported entries will show timestamps in your time zone.

Collecting Payment

We now support collecting online payments in more than just USD! Learn more about collecting payment.

Language Translations

While you’re using Cognito Forms with a different language, please let us know if something isn’t translated correctly! We did our best to translate each language as accurately as possible, but we aren’t fluent, so let us know if we made a mistake.
